OK, so it's a little off-topic, but John Lonsdale's query about smelly Dracunculus reminds me that I have been absolutely astonished by how vile my Podophyllum pleianthum smells. I'll take Dracunculus any day. The podophyllum spent a few days smelling like carrion (no vultures were observed hovering), and now it seems to have shifted to an even nastier combination of dead meat with more general rotting garbage overtones.The flies are ecstatic.
