Roger,
I grow this in a deep bed of pure sand that is in full sun and unprotected
year-round. While it is touted as being less bothered by summer water it
is also certainly quite happy just as dry as its more sensitive Juno
brothers and sisters.
They flower well every year but only set seed some years.
