It's really easy to get seeds of a number of Cyrtanthus species from sellers in South Africa, like Silverhill Seeds for example. Most of them germinate fairly easily IMO. I have more trouble in subsequent years getting them to stay alive until the bulb reaches maturity. That's where I haven't perfected the technique of Cyrtanthus growing like others have done yet. You can buy them on the Internet (or by email) from most of them. For a fantastic resource with website URLs and email addresses of most of the good mail order specialty nurseries in South Africa (and pretty much everywhere else in the world) go to Jim Shields's Bulb, Plant, and Seed Sources webpage at <http://www.shieldsgardens.com/BulbSources.html> . And if anyone knows of corrections or additions to what Jim has there, he is more than happy to include them if you send him an email giving him the information. --Lee Poulsen Pasadena, California, USDA Zone 10a On Oct 17, 2006, at 10:33 AM, Julián Guariniello wrote: > Hi all, i write from Argentina. i need to know how i can buy > cyrtanthus´s seeds or bulbs from here, or change bulbs of cyrtanthus > elatus for others species by post with somebody.
