Here in our milder climate, lachs, massonias, Haemanthus, etc., are not affected by mild frosts. However, heavy frosts, or if they get hit by a couple of frosts, days in a row, will affect the leaves but not the bulbs. Next season, they are back to normal. regards, Bill Richardson, Ixia King Summer 16c-42c. at present West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia ixia@dcsi.net.au Ixia Website: http://www.angelfire.com/ri/ixia/ "Almost any garden, if you see it at just the right moment, can be confused iwth Paradise" Henry Mitchell ----- Original Message ----- From: "Susan Hayek" <susanann@sbcglobal.net> To: "Pacific Bulb Society" <pbs@lists.ibiblio.org> Sent: Friday, February 17, 2006 5:35 PM Subject: Re: [pbs] Lachenalis freeze tolerance
