i'd think there are easier/better ways to getting rid of fungus gnats. like keeping the soil a bit drier? One thing that keeps the fungus gnat populations small is having an assortment of carnivorous plants sprinkled through the greenhouse. We have an assortment of Sarracenia, Nepenthes and my favorite, Pinguicula moranenis, the original fly paper. Since bringing these in last winter as part of one of the children's programs, the fungus gnat population has plummeted. There are always going to be a few around, but now there are no huge clouds of them that get in your ears, eyes and nose... Merrill in Palo Alto, CA Zone 9/10 where my first Moraea aristata opened this morning... Wow! It just doesn't get any better than that..... Has anybody tried to make a tetraploid of this for larger flowers? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
