Interesting. Today I have the first blooms of Hippeastrum papilio x H. teyucuarensis. My labels have evolved over the years (I started out by only putting the name of the plant on the label and nothing else), so all I have on the label is BX 11/16/01 item #11. When I first read your message, I thought mine was the same cross since your description sounds kind of like what I'm seeing. However, mine has been grown outside all year round and it's still quite cool here especially at night. I didn't write down who the seeds came from. Anyway, I like the result as well.
