Lots of foliage appeared this spring but I see no flower spikes coming
on. Should I not expect bloom this early, do they need a year or two to
settle in?
Here in western (Zone 7)) I don't expect flowers before
early or even mid-June. The foliage arrives early, the flower stems do
not appear until the leaves are about to die down, which seems to be
a typical growth habit for western american bulbs. Patience, darn it,
patience.
