Hi Tsuh:
           None of these Ipomoeas grow with the tuberous roots exposed. They 
tolerate being grown to show a "caudex", the same way hybrids of Cyclamen 
persicum or of garden Hippeastrums do. Of course, this practice let all 
these plants to be grown in far smaller pots.
