Several years ago, another Texan friend of mine, not Conroe Joe, gave me a bunch of bulbs of Lycoris radiata radiata (the triploid hybrid of gardens and commerce) from his own yard. I planted them outdoors in three spots, and in two of the three, they survive and bloom right here to this day, outdoors, in the ground, in cold and snowy central Indiana. Merry Christmas to all!
