John - P. canariensis has falcate leaves, similar to Worsleya. But at what age seedlings go from strait (as they first appear) to the classic sword shape, I am unsure of. It is a treasure to grow and flower. It flowers in late Nov/December for me here. It has more flowers/scape than any of the others and is the crown jewel of the genus. Kevin D.
