Hi Mary Sue:
Have you tried my second suggestion, R.gigantea? I can not find
my De Vos book on Romuleas but the bract and bracteole were diagnostic. Look
in the Encyclopedia as the descriptions are quite complete. Gigantea is also
a weed here and the name is misleading, it is only gigantea in stature,
flowers almost insignificant.
