Lachenalia- African Beauty bulbs were found last month at the local Orchard Supply Hardware store with the gladiolus and other spring bulbs. Two colors were available, red and yellow at $2.99 for a package of three good sized bulbs. They have now sprouted and the plants look good but it is starting to get hot here in S. Calif and they might not flower this year. It is definitely the wrong time of year to plant them here but the experiment was irresistable.
