Arctotis and gazania - was TOW N.H.Do in Dec - Garden

Mark, just thought you'd be amused to know that here in Southern
California, Gazania and Arctotis are perennials. I never thought to
plant them over bulb beds, though. Good idea!

Na

I have just finished clearly my raised beds of South African annuals. These
are planted to give in-your-face colour after my bulb collection has died
down. I plant Gazanias and Arctotis during April when the Tulips are still
looking good. The annuals take a few weeks to get going and soon hide the
dying leaves of bulbs.
