Geophytes in Hawaii - A Request for Suggestions

The Lyon Arboretum is absolutely a must. Why don't you contact the
Honolulu Garden Club C/O either Claire Johnson or Phyllis Lee at 2428
Manoa Rd., Honolulu, HI 96822-1902. They can give you a steer in the
right direction as both are very knowledgeable about flora of the
Hawaiian Islands. But don't delay. They are just as busy with
Christmas projects as everyone else. And DON'T tell them Shirley sent you!

Dear all,
I've just found out we're going to be taking a trip to Hawaii in
mid-January. I would be interested in receiving replies to my personal
e-mail address if anyone has tips on places to see flowering geophytes or
other plants expected to be in flower on the islands of Maui and Oahu at
that time.
Thanks to Budget Travel magazine, I've already learned about the Lyon
Arboretum, which sounds worth a visit. Given where I live, it'll be nice
to see some bulbs that are decidedly Pacific for a change!
Many thanks,
Mark
