Apparently HH. non-scripta and hispanica cross-pollinate. This happens in the fields of Dutch growers, and stock sold as non-scripta is really the more vigorous hybrid. More critical, in my opinion, is that the same cross-pollination is reported as occurring in England, with garden-grown H. hispanica and wild populations of H. non-scripta.
