Dear All, I was looking through my archives before I sowed the Cypella seed I recently acquired from the BX because I remembered Eric Walton from New Zealand had written about how to grow it. I found a note I had written to the IBS list: "He also said that seed should be sown as soon as ripe in a very freely draining, gritty potting mix. Old seed may take several years to germinate. He has found that chitting the seed at the rounded end speeds up the germination process." I wanted to pass this on for others who might have gotten the seed and hadn't yet planted it. Mary Sue
