Hello PBSers, I’ve had an idea for a couple of years: *“Meet the PBSers.”* This would be a recorded video call where we get to meet each other and learn how you became interested in bulbs, what your growing environment looks like, and what plants you’re growing. Although our common denominator is bulbs, what you choose to show is completely open—you don’t even need to grow bulbs to participate. The goal is simply to meet fellow enthusiasts. The thought is to do a ~20-minute interview: a brief introduction of the person and their growing environment, followed by switching the camera to show the surroundings while you narrate what we’re seeing. If someone prefers not to appear on camera (as I do!), you can simply cover the forward-facing camera and flip the view to your plants instead. It would be wonderful to showcase a range of growing styles, people, and places. If you are conceptually interested and have time between *3:30 PM and 5:00 PM CST* to serve as a “guinea pig,” please email me privately. I’d like to test-drive the process and work out the details. Don't worry if you have plants that do not look 100% sexy! At this moment, I just want to sort out the technological logistics. We should have some growers with winter growers in greenhouses..... If you are interested in participating later, once the format is refined, please email me privately. I think this could be a lot of fun. The plan would be to post a video link for each interview. I’m especially interested in hearing from members outside the US. I used to correspond with pen pals in Germany and loved seeing the similarities we shared, as well as the fascinating differences in housing and lifestyle. I also think technology can easily bridge any language gaps for those who aren’t fluent in English.
