addition to archives

Hi Lee,

Some way of linking new work to genera would be nice, but would depend
on someone doing the linking work. If someone is massively enthusiastic
then a way can be found - between the wiki and the forum.

Copyright is an issue - things behind paywalls are not things that can
be uploaded freely. Things you can upload freely could be usefully
copied into the PBS webspace. ISTR PDFs can be attached to forum posts.

We recently found 200 broken links on the wiki. That's links where the
destination has vanished. No problem (?), just look up the link on the
Internet Archive (Wayback machine) - except the IA often does not have a
copy.

(There is a spectrum, sometimes just a slight change in URL, sometimes
people have gone out of their way to remove information).

A lot are free to download these days, but a few still aren’t. Should we send the PDFs of the ones we downloaded to you guys to store on the wiki as well? Or if copyright laws are involved, maybe we could make a page where we can put the links to them in some quick but organized fashion? I suppose we could put them on the Photographs page with the genera or species they belong with, but then we’d have to hunt through them all to see something new, whereas on a separate page we could see that something new was published just by checking that page.
