Roy Herold began raising special plants in the pre-Internet era of knowledge hard-won and propagation the long way. I got some beautiful small Narcissi from him. Carlisle is also home to allies of his, the Iris specialists Jan Sacks and Marty Schafer of Joe Pye Weed’s Garden. Maybe it's something in the air.
