Dear All, Today I participated in a magnificent guided walk through a designated nature conservation project, a coastal wetland. I have seen several flowering plants of the mandrake Mandagora autumnalis. They are lush vigorous clumps with crinkled foliage and surprisingly large blue flowers. I was concerned to hear that this is a seriously endangered species in Portugal. I would love to share these pictures with you, this is the first time ever that I have seen this plant.
