It is true that a lot of Chlidanthus in the trade show virus symptons. The name sea daffodil is surprising since this is a high Andean genus. Really deep planting would stop offsetting and make the bulbs fatter and strong enough to produce flowers. They are reputedly one of the most fragrant bulbs. About 5 - 6 years now, the bulbs grow well and multiply but one of them bloomed one time while I was away. They are in full sun and well drained soil. Any suggestions are most appreciated.
