In terms of Bessera, do people wait for signs of emergent growth in spring/summer before watering, or initiate growth by watering first as one would do with winter growing bulbs? My Bessera bloomed in July and foliage has been gone for a month now, but I watered in the pots in may/June. Summers here are very hot (routinely over 90F and often around 100+). Past two years I have had some very gnarled flowers, almost appear as viral distortion, but perhaps it’s the high heat? Curious what other growers’ experience is.
