They are in Pure sand. Think kids sand box. Second year there. My typical red/ cream Bessera are planted in late May- June when the soil is warm. Usually about the time i see leftovers from the previous year emerging. This sand box is in the shade. But the flowers get sun. It gets hot (mid 90s) for all summer with hot nights 80s-90s and is very humid here. I plant the purple drops earlier as they bloom 2 months earlier.
