Autumn flowering for me in Northern California this year so far: Acis valentina, Colchicum x agrippum, Colchicum bivonae, Crocus goulimyi, Cyclamen africanum, Cyclamen hederifolium, Cyclamen cilicium, Cyclamen cyprium, Cyclamen graecum, Cyclamen mirabile, Cyclamen rohlfsianum, Cyrtanthus mackenii, Gladiolus carmineus, Haemanthus coccineus, Hyacinthoides lingulata, Moraea polystachya, Narcissus cantabricus, Nerine bowdenii, Nerine humilis (in bud), Nerine platypetala, Nerine sarniensis, Nothoscordum montevidensa, Oxalis bifurca, Oxalis bowiei, Oxalis engleriana, Oxalis hirta, Oxalis livida, Oxalis palmifrons, Oxalis pardalis, Oxalis perdicaria, Pelargonium sidoides. I expect there will be other Nerine species, Oxalis species, Crocus species, Cyclamen species, and maybe some of the smaller South African Amaryllid species. Some years I have autumn flowering South African Freesia and Romulea species. I'd say the Cyclamen and the Oxalis are the super stars at the moment, but Gladiolus carmineus has seeded itself about (and with some help) in my garden so as I walk around my garden I find it in many places. We've been really lucky since we've had two recent storms with more rainfall than in a lot of places, the most we've had at one time from one of them since March, so I'm seeing a lot of leaves appear. And the rain has filled all the rain barrels with water we store from our roof and another structure so we should be able to water the garden again. They are predicting a third extremely dry year.
