Dear Nan
Maybe the LA Arboretum would be interested they have plenty of room and don’t have a South African Bulb garden but do have a South
African plants and tree section.
I worked on a new master plan about 8 years ago and for what it is worth would be a great addition there.
The Huntington might too though off the top of my head I can’t picture that section only the eucalypts are the only ones . They do have lots of undeveloped land too. ,unfortunately Jim Folsom has just retired and I haven’t met the new director .

How much space does it need?
The public certainly needs to know about their great bulbs -I can’t even find sparectiss (?) or Homeric, babiana (sp) in any quantites now. At Moraga Vineyard in Bel Air across from the Getty , I have hillsides full of them and they have increased so much even better than narcissus for 20 years!
Let me know what the status is and if I can help in any way!?
All the best
Nancy Goslee Power

PS I am writing this in bed it’s late and my spelling isn’t great so I apologize for not having time to look them up as I am falling asleep

They have a wonderful South African exhibit that would be a perfect complement. I am close to both the Executive Director and the Horticulture Manager, both of whom I am sure would be delighted to take responsibility for the collection and host it on public display.

Any plants housed there are part of approved research projects conducted by faculty or cooperative extension agents. While the research station has been open to the public for special events from time to time, it is not a place for a public display - public access is very limited.
