Hello Rimmer, and Robert, too, Thank you very much for the inspiring instructions on how to propagate from leaf cuttings. There are in fact many more plants which respond to this method than I thought. Just one detail confuses me: you write “Check peat does dry out“...... do you really mean that the cuttings should be kept dry in peat? Which would surprise me, but you never know...... or should it say, check peat does NOT dry out? Or maybe dry out temporarily in between waterings? For the Strepocarpus question: the leaves can be cut into the same segments like for Eucomis, but the leaf can also be split lengthwise, dividing the midrib into two parts and then plant the two halves with the midrib buried, either entire or divided into segments again. Personally I have not used the second method because I never needed so much offspring and I would be scared to lose the whole leaf to rot. Bye for now Uli _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
