I would doubt it, because narcissus leaves die back very early in summer (at least they do here), whereas eucomis leaves are very rugged and persist until freezing.  Also eucomis leaves have a very thick midrib that makes it easy to put into the medium.  Most of the callouses form on the thicker part rather than out at the thin edges, which often quickly wilt back to the thicker parts.
Full disclosure:  I have never tried it with narcissus!
