I got this last year from ETGB and when it arrived, the tuber was about the size of my head (which is REALLY BIG to hear my girlfriend tell it...) The leaf was easily 3 feet tall. Spent the winter in the dry, cooler corner of my cool greenhouse with no watering other than ambient humidity. I started a bit of light watering and this is what appeared. For scale, it's in a 1-gal pot. I feared that herds of vultures would be pecking at the greenhouse door, wanting in, but so far the thing doesn't stink. However, it might not be quite ready for the neighborhood flies to do their thing, but as a precaution, it's now outside! I've read that the berry takes a year to mature and during that time the plant will skip making a leaf. We'll see. Overall, a very cool plant, but sadly not hardy here, so it has to stay in a pot. If the pod develops, watch for seeds in a future SX. Bob Zone 7 hoping for some rain soon -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
