Wandering around the Internet today I came again to Project Gutenberg. Whist wandering there I found The Botanical Magazine, volumes 1 - 9 http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/bookshelf/269/ Quite charming, lovely illustrations (one per plant) and yes, there are geophytes from Amaryllis to Narcissus to, hmm, let's just say "others" - there have been name changes between then and now. Also herbaceous perennials, a tree or two, great fun to consume an afternoon (or longer . . . ) If you quickly drag the cursor down to the back of each magazine there is an alphabetical list by Latin name with a hot link to each entry. Have fun. I know I did. Judy, where much of my garden is still covered with ice-crusted snow but bare ground is making more of an appearance. -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus/ _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
