This is off topic a bit but the medication for gout is called Colchicine and is derived from Colchicum autumnale. I don't know if that's the correct name or even if the epithet is correct. Colchicine was prescribed for my husband's gout. We have since discovered the better alternative, at least for him, is lime juice which dissolves uric acid, the culprit in gout. Lesson for the day.
