I was given Cypripedium californicum and C. montanum. I'm guessing Betsie bought them from a grower in California who used a lab to start them as they are blooming very well even after transplanting into container mix. I keep them on a deck that faces north, gets a little morning sun but is shaded by buildings and gets a lot of light. The claim that they need bog conditions is not exactly correct as I water them whenever I water everything else. I've attached a couple photos of them.
