Amaryllis

Hello Bob and everyone,
On Hippeastrum I can really recommend a classic, "Hippeastrum: the gardener's amaryllis" by Veronica M. Read. It is the most comprehensive book on Hippeastrum genera only.
There are a lot other books that have Hippeastrum listed, e.g. in "Bulbs" by John E. Bryan.
Personally, I haven't found a book yet on intergeneric breeding within the Amaryllidaceae family, only magazine articles (some very old). If anyone knows such a book, please let us know. Like Bob, I would be very much interested.
Why? Because I am myself crossing Hippeastrum with its related generas, Habranthus, Sprekelia and Zephyranthes. There are some results and I am currently working on F2's.
Best,

 Hello fellow gardeners,

There is a book titled Amaryllis by Starr Ockenga. I believe the subject matter of the book is Hippeastrum. I see the book available at Abe Books and Amazon.
