Dear All, Gardening in the very south of Portugal is rewarding, we have cold nights but so far we did not get any frost. I almost feel a little ashamed to list so many flowering plants..... In the open garden there are flowering Lachenalia quadricolor and bulbifera in different color forms, viridiflora is fading Iris unguicularis Moraea polystachya, started in November Oxalis, various, but the flowers do not open on overcast days Narcissus bulbocodium, italicus and papyraceus Scilla of which I do not know the identity off hand Veltheimia capensis, bracteata in bud, deasii is over Dahlia imperialis and D. rosea, the last one with white flowers Cyclamen persicum the very first flower and many buds Aponogeton distachyus, confined to a large stoneware pot Of the non bulbous plants: Camellias Montanoa pinnatifolia Tagetes lemmonii fading Aloe, among others arborescens red and yellow form Tibouchina on and off Billbergia spec.
