Hi Mike, I'm not aware of those cultivars, but flowering in December in the northern hemisphere is not new for Kniphofia, it's normal behavior for Kniphofia sarmentosa. As for hardiness: their borderline temperature is somewhere around -11°C - that's what killed one in budding stage for me, after flowering through a milder winter before (-8°C). Death was a slow process, rotting over several weeks. A younger plant, not in flower, survived. I wouldn't be surprised if those cultivars were sarmentosa based and had a similar borderline temperature.
