From a talk by Anthony Hamilton and John Pilbeam of the U.K. at a 2006 IBSA symposium: They had flowers 16 weeks after germination, mostly in seedlings from G primulinus. In mid March they sowed seeds in a closed but unheated plastic tunnel. The seeds started germinating in early April. The first flower opened on July 11 and it had produced seeds a month later. Meantime, more flowers were opening. They suggested selling gladiolus seeds as annuals. I wonder what they have hybridized in the meantime.
