Sadly Jim Lykos passed away more than a year ago.
I understand most of his bulbs now have new owners.

About a decade ago, Jim Lykos posted a huge amount of commentary on the
history of the xAmarygias, or multifloras, or whatever the heck we call
them. A few examples:

Short summary: He researched a lot of stuff, and it's really complicated
(and fascinating, to me).

Jim said in the message below that he was hoping to do that Cybistetes cross
you mentioned. But I don't think he ever came back and told us if it
happened:

Hey Jim, if you're still on the list, could you give us an update?

Thanks,

PS: I just noticed my first bud ever on a hybrid of Brunsvigia marginata x
A. multiflora. I was told (by Jim Lykos) that cross has been done before,
but I've never seen a photo of it. I'll post a photo when it opens.
