I purchased the book directly from the RHS website and I'm very happy with it. Not written by Persson but she is referenced frequently. It's over 500 pages and priced accordingly. I noticed many commenters at Rimmer's link said the book was going on their Christmas wishlist, but I couldn't wait. The authors were part of a RHS trial to sort out colchicums--including the cultivars!--and they have renamed a few and named some that had no name. The biggest flaw (for an American living in a cold climate) is they have no useful concept of plant hardiness. All the garden cultivars, they assure the reader, are hardy to -15C. That's 5F and my winters routinely get colder than that. Yet I am successfully growing many of the cultivars listed, so what they really mean is "at least that hardy." It's the most expensive book I've every purchased but I have no regrets buying it, although I still haven't gotten to the point where I can write in it. Just too new and special.--Kathy On Tue, Sep 15, 2020 at 4:15 PM Rimmer de Vries via pbs < pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> wrote: > > Colchicum: The Complete Guide, by Christopher Grey-Wilson, Rod Leeds and > Robert Rolfe. > > https://srgc.org.uk/forum/index.php/… > > Rimmer > > > Jane McGary wrote: > > > > Is this the long-awaited monograph by Persson?
