We can grow tomatoes outdoors in our vegetable patch on Swedens west coast , and they can be grown above the arctic circle in a sunny position. Bulbs on the other hand are trickier, not because of the cold winters, it's the wet and damp that does for them, but we do our best, we still have colchicum in flower. Next season we will start up with snowdrops in February/March and then on through daffodils, scilla, irises and lilies, I'm already looking forward to it.
