Hi Diane, My first Urginea (in a pot) was unfortunately stolen before the first bloom was done. That got me looking for more, which I found at an online place that field-grows them to sell their flowering spikes to the nursery trade. These were quite large, about 6 or more inches in diameter. I put a few in 5 gallon pots, and gave others to friends. These bloomed the first year, but not reliably after that. The ones my friends put in the ground definitely out-grew mine in the pots. Based on this and what Lee has said about his success with them in 15 gallon pots, I need to either move mine up to that size, or put them in the ground. I also need to find a fertilizer with a higher ratio of phosphorus, to see if that helps with the blooming. I recently (last few years) bought another one - it has green foliage (the 0096 photo) while the older ones have a distinct bluish color (0093 photo). Does anyone know if the discolored yellow area on the 0096 photo indicates some type of problem? Ron -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
