I wouldn't mind a move to facebook even with its issues. It is easy to moderate comments as I created the group "Growing South African Plants" and co moderate it now. It also is a good way to reach a lot of people, much to my shock my group has over 2,700 members as of today and new ones apply every day. Most members don't post but a certain core group does (a pattern that seems to exist among most internet groups). I do understand, however, why some folks concerns about facebook data harvesting and I might add that facebook changes its interface every now and then. The latest visual upgrade is pretty awful in my opinion (maybe its meant to make fb look better on phones but I use my laptop when I am on fb) but I figured out a little secret. If you administer a fb group you can request to go back to the old format for 48 hours. Annoying but it has kept working so far. There will always be positives and negatives in any choice made. Ernie NY where we expect wonderful warm and sunny weekend weather as opposed to the recent week of rain that ended in a killing frost a week ago. New flowers have opened up on the Moraea polystacha right by the house after the frost ruined open flowers a week ago. _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
