Thanks to everyone who replied to my plea for identification. I'm ashamed to admit that my first reaction to the suggestion of Hippeastrum was to dismiss it, based on the size of the flower alone... without really examining the segments and structural arrangement... my bad. I never imagined they had such diminutive representatives among the included species. But based on photos in the wiki, it is spot on. I'm particularly pleased with the colorful striations, considering this is growing in a covered patio with only a northern exposure and no direct sunlight at all. Now the challenge is, since its rediscovery, for me to keep from killing it with kindness, which often happens when I start to pay attention to certain plants that have so far survived in my collection with the tough love they prefer! Thanks again, one and all. Gregg DeChirico -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
