To PBS Officers and Board, This seems like a situation where PBS can be a very positive influence. His work has advanced hybrids well beyond what is being done in this country. I hope that they can be rescued and distributed to growers who can keep these in the gardening world. It seems like some one from PBS ought to try to contact his family ( some relatives have recently posted on his FB page) to attempt to purchase some of his news hybrids and get them to growers. Some combination of PBS funding and commercial agreement to propagate and sell. Obviously there are rules and regulations on all sides of this equation, but it is an opportunity for PBS to express their - OUR - thanks for his work and accomplishments and encourage their continued distribution and enjoyment. I do not know what form this rescue might take, but this is the time to consider the situation. It would a terrible shame and dishonor if these bulbs were simply lost, bulldozed, destroyed. Now is the time to act. best Jim W. pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Dr. James Waddick 8871 NW Brostrom Rd Kansas City, MO 64152-2711 USA Phone 816-746-1949 _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/…
