Dear All, For unwanted bulbs (im my case Oxalis pes-caprae) the best results have been in covering the soil with material that excludes light. One growth cycle without light is enough to kill those bulbs which make a new one every season but it may need more than one season for those which have permanent bulbs. I would think that black plastic is easy to manage under Rhododendrons, there is a woven black plastic tissue which lets water and air through but not light. Nurseries use that a lot to stand their pots on. Much much easier than digging and does not harm the roots. Bye for today Uli _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/…
