Not a problem. I don't allow birds or coyotes outside on my property but I could use a few grey wolves for deer control. The deer will eat entire hippeastrum bulbs and are especially fond of H. papilio and its hybrids. I have seen them eat crinums too but they usually stop at the foliage because the bulbs are underground.
