Hi Rimmer, Thanks for the photos. It's nice to see H. non-scripta--my parents used to take me to see them in the woods when I was a preschooler in England, but I doubt they would survive here in NC. FWIW, the photos of my mystery bulb were taken on March 27. The Spanish bluebells in my garden are flowering now. The only other Scilla-type bulbs that I have planted are Scilla sibirica, Puschkinia scilloides, and Scilla peruviana (flowering now), but the mystery is clearly not a chance seedling of any of those.
