I grew this from NARGS seed as Allium sp? China. It is a tall lollipop drumstick about 2-3/4feet to 3-1/2 feet tall. Blooms late spring-early summer. Blooms the Same time as Allium scorodoprasum ssp. rotundum but before Allium amethystinum and Allium sphaerocephalon.

Flowers are mauvish purple with a darker mid rib on the petals.

Seeds freely and makes basal bulblets. It never really goes dormant.
