Sarah: As many of us know plants names are a moving target. Lachenalia bifolia was previously know as Lachenalia bulbifera. Graham Duncan, who literally wrote the book on Lachenalia's has reclassified many of them. Some Polyxena's have been moved into Lachenalia. We all are resistant to constantly changing plant labels. I think the recommendations you've gotten so far are good. Arnold -----Original Message----- From: Sarah Hinckley <sarah-lists@suiattle.net> To: Randall P. I don't see an entry for L. bifolia in the wiki. Does it also go by another name? Actually, Enumclaw is on the west side of the mountains, about an hour (with no traffic, but when is that ever the case anymore?) or so southeast of Seattle. Definitely colder than Seattle though.
