There are around 1000 subscribers to the list, 600 of whom are on digests. Typically one digest a day is produced at 12:00 GMT. This means you can expect an instant response from the 400 who get individual posts, followed by a delayed response from the 600 digestives. When we have a contest, like the bulb exchange, we force a digest to be issued immediately. I liked the competition, but was too slow to realise I should have forced a digest.
