Thanks for posting the picture of the parent plant, Rimmer. I received a few of the seeds in BX454 at the end of February, and I'm happy to say that two have certainly germinated (the left two in the attached photo). They are growing in an orchid mix, supplemented with some peat. It is pretty free-draining. I am a complete beginner when it comes to germinating clivia, but I have plant with the more common orange and yellow throated flowers and have germinated some seeds from this also this spring. As is often the case (I hope), other seeds and bulbils from the exchanges have met with some occasional mixed success. Seeds of Commelina tuberosa and Rhodophiala bifida from SX11 are both doing great (the latter being germinated using the floating seed method, which worked very well first time for me). Lilium sargentiae (BX437) and lancifolium (BX426) bulbils are growing strongly, as one might expect, and happily from SX11 I have a dozen Lilium maritimum that have been growing from seed in a frost-free greenhouse for the past year or so. Thanks to Albert and all those who donated these! I'll let you know how the clivia work out! (It will take a while though...)
