I have big clumps of that one but other varieties i have tried, the fancy ones, have not made it.  Divisions of it never fail.Frank Cooper

When I lived in Illinois, this plant was regularly passed around to rock gardeners who divided it as it was going dormant in late spring. The plant seemed very amenable to regular division. Good seed was never set on the form that was in cultivation in the Midwest.

I believe that Far Reaches Farm, Port Townsend WA,  has unusual forms of Adonis available from time to time.

I am quite fond of Adonis amurensis. So does any one have experience
propagating this species.
Many thanks and best. Wishing for spring. Jim W.
